Abstract:
Chronic inflammation plays an important role in the pathogenesis of oesophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC) and its only known precursor, Barrett's oesophagus (BE). Recent studies have shown that oesophageal TLR2 levels increase from normal epithelium towards EAC.
