Die Depotplanung stellt einen wesentlichen Aspekt der präventiven Konservierung zur Sammlungserhaltung dar. Hintergrund dieser Arbeit ist die Konzeption eines zentralen Depotneubaues für die städtischen Münchner Museen. Die Konzepte für dieses Projekt behandeln neben dem Projektmanagement Strategien für eine Risikominimierung, wie Brandschutz, Gebäudeklimatisierung, Zutritts- und Sicherungsmanagement, Depotlogistik, Ausstattung und Gestaltung der Depoträume und Funktionsräume, Standortverwaltung, Lagersysteme, Integrated Pest Management und Facility Management. Alle Konzepte werden aus konservatorischer und wirtschaftlicher Sicht diskutiert.     «

The depot concept is a major aspect of the preventive conservation of the collections. The concepts of this project, the building of a new shared art storage facility by the city of Munich, are directly linked to the needs of the different users. In addition to project management they cover issues such as fire protection, climate conditioning, access- and security management, depot logistics, architecture and equipment of storage rooms, location finding, shelf systems, integrated pest management and facility management. All concepts are discussed from a conservatory and economic viewpoint.     «
