Abstract:
Improved therapy of cancer has significantly increased the lifespan of patients. However, cancer survivors face an increased risk of cardiovascular complications due to adverse effects of cancer therapies. The chemotherapy drug doxorubicin is well known to induce myofibril damage and cardiac atrophy.
