Abstract:
Tibiotalcalcaneal arthrodesis is still the treatment of choice for disabling arthrosis of the upper and lower ankle joint, although replacement of the upper ankle joint is widely accepted. Numerous techniques have been described, with increasing use of internal fixation and compression.
