- Durch die Verallgemeinerung der Ergebnisse von analytischen und experimentellen Untersuchungen zum Rührreibschweißen von Aluminiumlegierungen mit Stählen im Überlapp- und im Stumpfstoß wird ein umfassendes, anwendungsorientiertes Prozessverständnis bereitgestellt. Darüber hinaus werden werkstofftechnische, technologische, metallurgische und wirtschaftliche Grenzen bestimmt. Diese Erkenntnisse schaffen eine Grundlage zur Integration der Verbindungen in den industriellen Fahrzeugbau.
- Translated abstract:
- The generalised results of analytical and experimental investigations of the friction stir welding of aluminium alloys to steel in a lap- and butt joint configuration provide an extensive applied understanding of the joining process. In addition, weldability of materials and metallurgic effects are discussed and technological as well as economic limitations are determined. These findings provide a basis to apply friction stir welding in car body manufactures.
