Nach einer thematischen Einordnung des Talentbegriffs in den Bereich der Sportwissenschaft erfolgt eine genauere Betrachtung der Spitzenförderung im deutschen Nachwuchsfußball. In den drei Einzelbeiträgen „RAE in Football Talents - the Role of Youth Academies in Transition to Professional Status in Germany”, „From Talent to Professional Football – Youthism in German Football” und „Career Patterns in German Youth National Teams” liegt der Fokus der Untersuchungen auf dem Relative Age Effect, sowie den Karrieremustern. After a thematic classification of the concept of talent in the field of sports science, a closer look is taken at top-level promotion in German youth football. In the three articles "RAE in Football Talents - the Role of Youth Academies in Transition to Professional Status in Germany", "From Talent to Professional Football - Youthism in German Football" and "Career Patterns in German Youth National Teams" the focus of research is on Relative Age Effect, as well as career patterns.
