Hybrid systems of organic and inorganic semiconductors are promising materials for photovoltaics, light emitting diodes and sensors. In this thesis, some fundamental aspects of different hybrid systems were investigated. To begin with, a systematic study of the growth of the organic semiconductors tetrafluorotetracyanoquinodimethane (F4-TCNQ) and alpha-hexathiophene (6T) on inorganic materials was conducted. Afterwards, the most promising electrical contacts to 6T thin films were identified and used for the optoelectronic characterization of 6T/inorganic heterojunctions.
