Abstract:
All neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are characterized by the expression of synaptophysin and chromogranin A (or B). Yet, they are not a homogeneous group of tumors. Paradigmatic for these tumors are the NENs of the gastroenteropancreatic (GEP) system.
