Abstract:
Staphylococcus epidermidis colonises human skin without apparent inflammation, but a dominance of S. epidermidis and S. aureus is characteristic of cutaneous microbial dysbiosis in atopic dermatitis (AD). While S. aureus can trigger AD, the role of S. epidermidis is less understood.
