This thesis focuses on the combination of the method of topology optimization and the manufacturing considerations of additive manufacturing, which is demonstrated on a low pressure turbine guide vane cluster. Moreover, another research aspect is the comparison of three topology optimization approaches in thermo-mechanical load cases. The approaches include one gradient-based and two heuristic, zeroth order algorithms. The comparisons are carried out with academic examples and a larger scale engineering application.
