Dermatological therapy of children differs considerably from treatment of adults and poses a special challenge. Dermatological diseases often form idiosyncratic entities with a prognosis different from adults and must be treated appropriately. Consideration should also be given to the fact that children occasionally experience adverse reactions to drugs, which are not observed in adults.
