Late life depression (LLD) even in subsyndromal stages shows high conversion rates from cognitively normal (CN) to mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Results of [(18)F]-fluorodesoxyglucose positron-emission-tomography (FDG-PET) were inconsistent in LLD patients, whereas atrophy was repeatedly described.
