Telemedizinische Systeme können ein Teil der Lösung der Probleme moderner Gesundheitssysteme sein, indem sie diese effizienter und effektiver machen. Die Verbreitung solcher Systeme ist jedoch bislang gering. Eine wesentliche Hürde stellt die mangelnde Akzeptanz seitens der wichtigsten Nutzergruppen dar. Die Arbeit leistet einen Beitrag zu dem Verständnis der Nutzungsabsicht. Dazu werden Akzeptanzmodelle sowohl für die Arzt- als auch die Patientenseite entwickelt, empirisch getestet und hieraus Implikationen abgeleitet. Im Ergebnis stellt die Arbeit ein Plädoyer für ein nutzerzentriertes Vorgehen dar.     «

Telemedical systems can be a part of the solution of modern healthcare systems’ problems by making these more effective and efficient. However, the diffusion of such systems is rather low. The missing acceptance of the most important user groups represents a substantial barrier. This thesis contributes to the understanding of the intention to use such systems. We develop acceptance models for the physicians’ as well as the patients’ side, empirically test them and derive implications. As a result, the thesis is a pleading for a user-centric approach.      «
