Generation of Product Concepts in collaborative Environment

As a result of solving complex problems in a distributed development environment it is of major importance to consider the different attitude to gerated concepts and to provide a method which is as close as possible at the natural procedure of solution finding. One aspect of this paper treats the generation of product concepts. In this phase of the product development process, results of previous analyses phases will be considered in order to save time and to ensure the generation of consistent concepts. On one hand, the interdependency of the functions and on the other hand, the plausibility of combination of individual solutions is considered. The application in industry of the procedure is shown to give an impression of the practical use.     «
