Abstract:
Curcumin is a nontoxic, hepatoprotective antioxidant. It has been shown to efficiently scavenge oxygen free radicals, increase intracellular glutathione concentrations, and prevent lipid peroxidation in rat hepatocytes. Moreover, it has strong anti-inflammatory effects.
