The production of multi-material components by means of laser beam melting offers great potential due to the layer- and powder bed-based approach. Currently, however, the process is limited to the processing of one material per manufacturing process. In the context of this dissertation, the process chain of laser beam melting is considered under the aspect of the production of metallic multi-material components with an arbitrary material distribution within the component of different metallic materials in combination with CW106C.
