Abstract:
This paper presents an easy to implement method to compute the OH? radiation in high temperature flames for validation against experimental data. It is based on the assumptions that the gas is optically thin and that OH? is in thermal equilibrium with OH. Under these conditions, the OH? radiation can be computed from knowing only the temperature and ground state OH distributions. This can be done as a post-processing step on existing simulations.
