Die Untersuchung soll Aufschluss über die ökonomische Situation der Milcherzeugung geben und mögliche Zusammenhänge zwischen ökonomischen Kenngrößen und der Tiergesundheit aufzeigen. Die Ergebnisse belegen, dass Milch gewinnbringend zu produzieren ist. Eine vollständige Faktorenentlohnung wird aber nur von wenigen Betrieben erreicht. Die Futter- und Arbeitskosten sind hauptverantwortlich für die Varianz der Produktionskosten. Insgesamt gesehen weisen große Milchviehbetriebe wirtschaftliche Vorteile auf. Trotzdem erreichen auch einige Betriebe mit kleinen Herden überdurchschnittliche ökonomische Ergebnisse. Ein Zusammenhang zwischen der Eutergesundheit in Form der Zellzahl sowie den Milchinhaltsstoffen und ökonomischen Kenngrößen konnte nicht nachgewiesen werden. Der vorliegende Eutergesundheitsstatus ist aber unbefriedigend. Die Ergebnisse schärfen hinsichtlich der Fütterung den Blick auf die Problematik der Nährstoffüberversorgung.      «

The research should give information about the economic situation of the milk production and should indicate possible relations between economic characteristics and animal health. The results show that milk can be produced profitable. Only a few farms are able to achieve full costs, however. Feed and labour costs are the most influencing factors on the variance of the production costs. Big dairy farms gain economic advantages. Nevertheless, some farms with small herds also reach above-average economic results. A correlation between the udder health in terms of the somatic cell counts (SCC) as well as the milk components and economic characteristics could not be proved. However, the present udder health status is unsatisfying. With respect to feeding the results show an imbalance in nutrient supply.      «
