Etwa 200 Teigdrucke und fünf Samtteigdrucke sind heute noch, meist in Büchern, erhalten. In vorliegender Masterarbeit wird der bisherige Forschungsstand zu diesen speziellen Druckgraphiken des späten 15. Jahrhunderts zusammengefasst und eine neue Theorie zur Herstellung von Teigdrucken vorgestellt. Bestandteil der Arbeit war zudem die Erstellung eines Katalogs mit den 40 Teigdrucken und einem Samtteigdruck der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek. Zu Beginn der Arbeit finden sich Informationen zu überlieferten Teigdrucken und Samtteigdrucken, deren Provenienz, Rezeptionsgeschichte und heutigen Bezeichnung. Theorien zur ursprünglichen Funktion der Druckgraphiken und der Intention ihrer Herstellung ergänzen die allgemeine Einführung. Anschließend werden die Herstellungsmöglichkeiten von Teigdrucken diskutiert. Grundlage dafür sind die spiegelverkehrten Darstellungen einiger entdeckter Paare von Teigdrucken und Metallschnitten, die vermutlich von der gleichen Platte stammen. Eine durch Rekonstruktionsversuche getestete Modifikation der Herstellung von Pressbrokatapplikationen wird als neue Theorie zum bisher vorgeschlagenen Herstellungsprozess durch einen indirekten Druckvorgang vorgestellt. Mittels durchgeführter Untersuchungen unter einem 3D-Digitalmikroskop, mit Röntgenfluoreszenzanalysen und Fourier-Transformation-Infrarot-Spektroskopie an ausgewählten Drucken werden deren Bildschichtaufbau, Materialien und ihr heutiges Erscheinungsbild erläutert. Ein mit den Drucken der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek zusammengestellter Katalog rundet die Arbeit ab. Beschreibungen der Darstellungen, des Erhaltungszustandes und des Überlieferungskontextes werden mit Photographien und Kartierungen veranschaulicht. Der systematische Katalog und die Ergebnisse des Rekonstruktionsversuches können Grundlage für die weitere Forschung zu den bisher, im Vergleich zu anderen Druckgraphiken, verhältnismäßig wenig erforschten Teigdrucken sein.     «

About 200 pasteprints and five flock prints are known today, mostly preserved in manuscripts. In this Master´s thesis the previous state of research about this graphics from the late 15th century is summarised and a new theory of the production of pasteprints is proposed. A part of the thesis was to compile a catalogue with the 40 pasteprints and one flock print owned by the Bavarian State Library. First, information about the known pasteprints and flock prints, their provenance, history of reception and todays terms is given. Theories about the original function and the intention of the prints complete the general introduction. Subsequently, possible methods of production of pasteprints are discussed, based on discovered pairs of mirror-inverted metalcuts, which were probably made using the same cast. A modification of the pressed brocade application method was tested and is proposed as a new theory of the production of pasteprints instead of the previous hypotheses, which tried to transfer the printing process of common graphics. The layer composition of the prints, the materials and their appearance today were examined with a 3D-digital-microscope, X-ray fluorescence analysis and fourier-transformation-infrared-spectroscopy. Finally, a catalogue with the prints of the Bavarian State Library completes the thesis. Descriptions of the illustrations, the state of condition and the context of tradition are illustrated with photographs and mappings. The systematic catalogue and the results of the reconstruction could be a basis for further investigations about pasteprints, which are hardly explored compared to other prints.     «
