The concept Investigative Conservation (established by the English Heritage) provided the basis for a catalogue of activities; targeted on the first-aid conservation for archaeological finds. It makes it possible to administrate the conservatory maintenance of big assemblages of artefacts like Early Medieval Cemeteries. A database template is created to enable a fast evaluation of the finds and their preservation status. This information establishes a basis for project planning in terms of necessary conservation actions to support the scientific examination of the archaeological artefacts.
