The digitalization of teaching due to the Covid-19 pandemic offers new challenges, yet also new opportunities. To assist and encourage students in their self-study of the unified modeling language (UML), modeling tasks were provided, student solutions were analyzed and discussed in web meetings. This way, an earlier and more in-depth insight into typical faults in students modeling solutions could be achieved.
