Abstract:
A method to significantly improve the convergence behavior of batch counterflow flame simula- tions is presented. This is achieved by estimating the initialization close to the final solution. The solution vectors are scaled with respect to pressure and strain rate. This enhancement leads to a significantly improved robustness and acceleration of batch simulations. The extinction point can be simulated without sophisticated code extensions.
