In this thesis algorithms for the Particle-Image-Velocimetry under the use of Matlab were implemented and validated. Eight algorithms were created and summed up in an algoritm- library. With the help of this library you are able to calculate results for the Particle-Image- Velocimetry with four different methods. One algorithm was created to run the whole process and the user is able to change parameters. The incorporated parameters allows him to have as much impact as far as the presentation of the results is concerned as possible. Four algorithms are for the calculation. Two algorithms can be used for validations and with the help of one algorithm you are able to create artificial pictures for an evaluation. In the end the four methods were evaluated and compared with artificial and real pictures. Every method has its advantages and disadvantages for different kinds of particle velocimetries.
