Avionic systems face a transition to highly integrated systems with mixed-criticalities. This is driven by the trend to save space, weight and power. The challenge is an I/O sharing solution focusing on safety, security and system integrity on available processing platforms lacking adequate means. The main contribution is a novel approach and solution achieving temporal and especially spatial separation. The sole usage of available standard-compatible components enables compatibility with various computing architectures like Intel, ARM and PowerPC.
