The dataset consists of parametric heat flux simulations for the insulation concept of an additively manufactured (AM) facade element, “Building with Blocks” within the framework of TRR277 using Selective Paste Intrusion (SPI) and lightweight aggregates. The thermal simulations calculate the heat flux through a horizontal section of the element for varying parameters for an internal, hexagonal cell structure. The heat flux simulations are embedded in a simulation-based parametric design workflow (which is not part of this dataset) as performance feedback, using the software LBNL THERM 7.6 for heat transfer analysis and a parametric modeling algorithm for creating the parametric geometry (Rhino3D and Grasshopper) and preparing the parametric simulations (Ladybug Tools). The data is structured in one folder, consisting of the simulation files for each parameter set (125 variants), one folder with image data showing the resulting heat flux and a table listing the corresponding parameters, and additionally a selection of three variants, which are combined in a summarizing figure.
