Main focus of this work consists in the elucidation of the relation between different chloroaromatics and aromatics to each other and in the relation of them to the PCDD/F I-TEQ from exhaust gases and solid residues from wood- and municipal solid waste incinerators. Besides the range of variation, the influence of special operating conditions to the composition of the examined substance classes in the different matrices was proved. To allow an estimation of PCDD/F concentrations the gained data set was analyzed concerning possible surrogate parameters. Furthermore the formation-mechanism ofb the chloroaromatics and aromatics was investigated.
