The structural behaviour of segmental linings is inherently complex, leading to significant uncertainties regarding their actual internal forces. This thesis presents and examines in-situ measurements that capture the development of internal forces with time for a newly constructed segmental lining. Furthermore, the research evaluates the predictive accuracy of state-of-the-art simulation models for these internal forces. Particular emphasis is placed on understanding the effects of inaccuracies in the assembly of the segments.
