Abstract:
In this paper, modelling, control and position estimation for a linear electromagnetic actuator with a permanent magnet mover is presented. A hybrid methodology combining analytical and Finite Element Method (FEM) is adopted for modelling of the actuator. An online parameter estimation method is presented for estimating the electrical parameters based on current switching instant sampling.
