The present work describes a simulation model for glass façade elements with inner circulating fluids (fluidglass), which is validated by experimental investigations. Fluidglass combines the following functions in one transparent façade element: adaptive glazing with variable sun and glare protection, solar collector, flat heating and cooling system. By implementing the model in dynamic-thermal building simulations, the applicability of fluidglass in fully glazed administration buildings is demonstrated at three climatically different locations: Moscow, Munich and Riyadh.
