Abstract:: Primary lung and chest wall tumours as well as lung metastases are rare diseases in children. As part of multimodal cancer treatment, thoracic surgery can significantly improve survival in children suffering from paediatric solid tumours. The aim of the review article is to summarise the indications and the current surgical treatment options for malignant chest wall and lung tumours as well as to shed light on the current role of pulmonary metastasectomy in children.
