Abstract:
BACKGROUND: Lesions in the periventricular, (juxta)cortical, and infratentorial region, as visible on brain MRI, are part of the diagnostic criteria for Multiple sclerosis (MS) whereas lesions in the subcortical region are currently only a marker of disease activity.
