This thesis deals with the objective evaluation of thermal comfort in passenger cars. According to the current state of science, the equivalent temperature is used as a climate index for assessing the thermal environment. Being a constituent part of DIN EN ISO 14505-2:2007-04 the comfort zone model, according to Nilsson, represents the foundation of this work. In further investigations, strengths and weaknesses of the comfort zone model have been identified, to enable potential improvements and to develop a new comfort model.
