Background: Competence-based assessment formats in medical education usually focus on individual facets of competence (FOCs). The concept of 'Entrustable Professional Activities' (EPAs) encompasses supervisors' decisions on which level of supervision a trainee requires to perform a professional activity including several FOCs.
