Abstract:
Complex geometry extraction from point clouds is an actual problem in reverse engineering. Simple geometrical models (like parallelepipeds, prisms, pyramids, cones, spheres) were already applied in construction and machine-building modeling, but are not sufficient for high quality BIM now.
