Already 3D visualization environments provide a large design space not being investigated to the same extent as traditional WIMP-spaces. When using this design space in combination with AR, the design space even further grows. Information can not only be presented in a 3D space, AR also puts virtual information in relation to real objects, locations or events. The different properties of presentation in AR need to be investigated to develop a comprehensive set of dimensions of presentation principles. To know about different presentation principles is, for instance, crucial when conducting user studies. To eliminate confounding factors and to determine where effects attribute to, a deeper insight is required. As only one factor may be changed at a time to determine the effects of such factors, awareness about those principles is necessary. This way, fundamental experiences about the impact of AR onto human behavior can be achieved. With such a classification at hand, the vast presentation space can be explored in a new way. New combinations of presentation principles, that might not have been imagined yet, gain potential for further investigation. This workshop aims at bringing together researchers working towards such a classification of the AR presentation space. The workshop at the beginning provides a plenum to present approaches used for the collection of different properties of the AR presentation space and their integration into different dimensions of underlying principles. The workshop then provides a forum for plenary discussion (and perhaps smaller focus groups) to collect existing classifications. Here, the plenum or subgroups (depending on number of participants) step into discussion to compare classifications and to explore how they differ. This shall lead to an understanding of what has not yet been covered by existing classifications, or has been covered only inadequately. Finally, modifications and extensions to existing classifications, and entirely new ones, shall be proposed and collected in an open format. Admission to the workshop will be based on accepted papers and position statements. Further admissions will be granted on a first come first serve basis (up to 30 people).     «
