- Dynamic processes and conflicts are at the base of the urban condition. Against this background, concepts about spatial transformations have to be constantly re-examined. The research project confronts the rich body of narrative knowledge in architecture and urbanism with the empirically grounded situational analysis of a large housing estate. The outcome of this twofold approach is the Redundant City sensitising concept. It describes a specific form of collectively negotiated urban change.

- Dynamische Prozesse und Konflikte sind grundlegende Merkmale urbaner Situationen. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es notwendig, Konzepte zu räumlichen Transformationen fortwährend zu überprüfen. Das Forschungsprojekt untersucht die vielfältigen, narrativen Wissensbestände von Architektur und Urbanistik und konfrontiert diese mit der empirischen Situationsanalyse einer Großwohnsiedlung.
