Abstract:
Aeroelastic behavior of aircraft is significantly affected by the presence of engines mounted under the wings. Powered engines influence the unsteady aerodynamics on the one hand and lead to additional unsteady forces due to thrust vector oscillations on the other hand. This work focuses on the incorporation of aerodynamic engine effects into a small disturbance CFD framework to enhance the modeling accuracy of unsteady aerodynamics of aircraft.
