Modelling and integration of geospatial data plays an important role in the geospatial domain, not least in the context of current spatial data infrastructure initiatives. By using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) for defining the models, a model-driven approach for data integration can be applied. However, when integrating geospatial data based on different models, difficulties can arise from the way these models are currently defined within the geospatial domain. In particular, when the models adhere to different and incorrect UML profiles the integration can be hindered. This paper presents solutions for how to cope with these UML profiles. This includes a generic concept for developing UML profiles in a structured and reusable way, a Core UML profile as a universally applicable building block and a multi- level information integration framework which transforms between UML models based on these UML profiles.     «
