Winter oilseed rape is one of the most important crops in Germany. However, due to intensive nitrogen (N) fertilization, nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions can occur, which may negatively affect the greenhouse gas (GHG) balance of biodiesel produced from rapeseed oil.
