Description:
This data set provides 24 astrogeodetic vertical deflections over parts of Venezuela. The vertical deflections have been observed with classical astrogeodetic instrumentation (zenith camera, astrolabe) over the Merida Mountains in 1983 and 1985. The geodetic coordinates of the vertical deflections have been transformed in 2017 from a regional to a global reference frame (ITRF) to be compatible with modern gravity field products. The file provides ITRF geodetic coordinates, astronomical coordina...     »
Method of data assessment:
Comparisons with global gravity field models (GGMplus), Google Maps and independent control
