Abstract:
BACKGROUND: Lymphocytic infiltration is obvious throughout early and late stages of chronic allograft nephropathy. Early infiltrating lymphocytes are involved in initial insults to kidney allografts, but the contribution of late infiltration to long-term allograft attrition is still controversial.
