The aim of this thesis is to analyze the system-wide impacts of on-demand ride pooling services from the perspective of cities, operators, and customers. Analytical modelling is used to investigate the impact of influencing factors on the percentage of shareable trips, traffic, profitability, and customer attractiveness to use the service. The developed models are tested by an agent-based simulation and a microscopic traffic simulation. The results of this thesis would assist policy makers and operators in effective planning and implementation of these services.
