Die Offene Produktentwicklung beschreibt die eigeninitiative und interaktive Teilnahme unternehmensexterner Akteure am Entwicklungsprozess. Diese Dissertation entwickelt die EOA-Methodik mit den Schritten (E)rfassung, (O)perationalisierung und (A)bsicherung als prozessuale Unterstützung zur ganzheitlichen Umsetzung der Offenen Produktentwicklung. Die Grundlage dazu bilden dabei die Einordnung der Offenen Produktentwicklung in die Open Innovation sowie die Ableitung von Anforderungen an eine prozessuale Unterstützung der Offenen Produktentwicklung. Die entwickelte EOA-Methodik gliedert sich in drei Schritte, um den Umgang mit Wissensfluss von außen zu unterstützen. Diese Schritte sind weiter detailliert in Tätigkeiten, zu deren Bearbeitung Arbeitsmethoden der Produktentwicklung zugeordnet werden. Zwei Fallstudien zeigen exemplarisch die zielgerichtete Anwendbarkeit der EOA-Methodik in industriellen Entwicklungsprojekten auf.     «

Open Product Development encompasses external actors participating interactively in the development process based on personal initiative. This thesis develops the EOA-Methodology consisting of the main steps Collection (E), Operationalization (O), Substantiating Results (A) as procedural support for a comprehensive implementation of Open Product Development. The classification of Open Product Development in respect to Open Innovation and the derivation of requirements for procedural support to perform Open Product Development form the basis for developing the EOA-Methodology. The EOA-Methodology comprises three steps in order to support the handling of knowledge flow from the outside of a company. These steps are further detailed in specific tasks to which methods of product development are assigned. Two case studies finally illustrate the goal oriented applicability of the EOA-Methodology in industrial development projects.     «
