Abstract:
The interplay of biomechanical stresses to subsequent histopathological response in the wall of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is poorly understood and investigated. Meanwhile individually acting forces can be calculated precisely by wall stress analyses as well as biologic activity of AAA wall can be studied in-vivo by 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography. For better insights in stresstissue interactions and methodical reasons we studied therefore the correlation of metabolic ac...     »
