Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) is of great relevance in many fields of engineering as well as in the applied sciences. In this talk we will focus on the wide and important class of problems involving incompressible flows and thin-walled structures. We will show some of our recent advance- ments in the development of more robust ALE schemes and new fixed grid and hybrid schemes that extend the possible applications an engi- neer can approach. We also emphasize our advancements with respect to robust coupling techniques between fluid and structural field.
