Abstract:
We present a new approach for 2D and 3D finite deformation contact based on a dual mortar formulation and using a primal-dual active set strategy (PDASS) for direct contact constraint enforcement. Linear and higher-order (quadratic) interpolations are considered and we address both the frictionless and the frictional sliding case.
