Abstract:
Complex robotic tasks require the use of knowledge that cannot be acquired with the sensor repertoire of a mobile, autonomous robot alone. For robots navigating in urban environments, geospatial open data repositories such as OpenStreetMap (OSM) provide a source for such knowledge.
