For the development of new electronic Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) configurations, missing standards and experience lead to a necessary derivation of new standards and requirements. In our approach, existing standards for rotorcraft are transformed to requirements for the new eVTOL. To ensure a high quality of the transformed requirements, the validation process consisting of requirement derivation, formalization/modeling, testing and validation is integrated in a modern model-based development process supported by the industry tools MATLAB Simulink and Polarion Requirements. An ideal controller is used to identify the best theoretically attainable system performance and thus obtain feasible requirements with very good handling characteristics. This process promises cost and time benefits due to the model-based requirement validation in early development stages.     «
