Cryptography is used to protect sensitive information. This information and the cryptographic key material are often goals of attacks. One example are Side Channel Attacks (SCA), which use the observation of the Electro-Magnetic (EM) field to extract the key. Localized EM SCAs use small EM-probes of few hundred µm in diameter. Due to the small size it is possible to place multiple probes above the chip. Eine Möglichkeit sind Seitenkanalangriffe, die das Elektromagnetische (EM) Feld beobachten, um den Schlüssel zu extrahieren. Localized EM Seitenkanalangriffe benutzen für die Messung kleine EM-Sonden von wenigen hundert µm Durchmesser. Durch den kleinen Durchmesser ist es möglich, mehrere Sonden über dem Chip zu platzieren.
