Esophageal replacement by Lexer's esophagoplasty: adenocarcinoma as late complication.
Abstract:
The most successful method for esophageal reconstruction in the early 20th century was the jejunodermatoesophagoplasty after Lexer, involving the presternal formation of a skin tube for passage reconstruction. A 59-year-old patient presented to our hospital with adenocarcinoma at the dermatojejunostomy 47 years after undergoing a Lexer procedure.
